M2.2: Future of Reisholzer Hafen, Düsseldorf© städtebau
Duration: 2 semester
In the first part of the M2 project, ideas for a new urban quarter at Reisholzer Hafen will be developed. The very dense and mixed-use quarter directly on the Rhine is to have a commercial and service focus, but also include different forms of housing. The focus is on combining and further developing innovative living and working models. In addition to commercial collaborative living and working structures, temporary forms of living with studios and studios for the creative scene that has developed on the site are to be integrated. To an extent appropriate to the neighborhood, social and gastronomic infrastructures and supplies for daily needs are to be planned. In the second part, a self-selected subarea will be deepened in terms of building construction. This can be an ensemble of buildings or a single building of different use. The task and the structural space program for the 2nd semester can and should be designed independently.
