Ir. Marc Maurer, born 1969 in Eindhoven NL, has been running an agency for architecture, urbanism and communication together with partner Nicole Maurer since 1998: Maurer United Architects. In this capacity he has worked on various assignments in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and China. His focus is on 'Research & Design' - in relation to social, cultural, spatial and economic aspects.
He studied at the Technical University in Eindhoven, where he graduated with a degree in engineering. In addition to his work in his own office, he has taught at various academies of art and architecture (Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Arnhem, Tilburg, Maastricht) since 1996. He has worked as a research assistant at the Technical Universities in Eindhoven and Delft.
In the project 'Spatial Strategy South Limburg in a Euregional Context', Maurer United Architects is a research partner of the RWTH (Institute and Chair of Urban Design).
