Short Vita

Studied architecture at the University for Architecture and Civil Engineering in Weimar (now Bauhaus University Weimar) from 1980 to 1984, graduated in 1984 with a degree in architecture, 1993 to 1995 postgraduate studies as an architect in the field of monument preservation, 2002 to 2003 postgraduate studies as a mediator, training at the Chamber of Architects Vienna/Austria, Institute of Conflict Culture Vienna and University of Klagenfurt. 2004/2005 winner of the BDA award for building culture in Hessen. 1993 Head of the Lower Monument Protection Authority in Fulda, 1997 Head of the Urban Planning and Traffic Planning Office in Fulda, 2000 Elected Head of the Department of Building in Fulda (re-elected twice), 2014 Elected Head of the Department of Urban Development, Mobility and Environment in Darmstadt. On 7 July 2016 election as Councillor for Planning, Building, Mobility and Real Estate of the State Capital Düsseldorf with effect from 1 September 2016.
