6th of October to 7th of October
#Neuland provides a think tank for forward thinkers on the way to an efficient, but also ecologically and economically sustainable future.
To this end, numerous companies, research institutions and the public sector have joined forces to discuss innovations relating to the issues of the future and to develop and promote solutions. From the successful congress series Metropolitan Cities/ #MC2032 becomes: #New territory - Creating the digital future together.
The constant process of change affects our future in all areas of living together, the world of work, as well as in our private environment. Globalization, the resulting networking of cities, countries and continents, as well as the ever-increasing digitalization make the world faster and more agile. This new flexibility creates incredible opportunities, but also new challenges for living and working in the future. Global issues such as climate change, sustainability and the resulting need for renewable resources are just as essential as the increasingly complex economic challenges.
It is out of this motivation that we have created the congress #Neuland and are looking forward to future-oriented visions and exciting solutions for the future.
This makes the congress the annual highlight as a crystallisation point for the permanently ongoing activities aimed at the goal of applying to become the Rhine-Ruhr Metropolitan Region for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2032.
In cooperation with the RWTH Aachen University and other renowned universities and colleges as well as the RWTH Aachen Campus, exciting future questions will be explored and forward-looking, as well as economically and economically sustainable approaches to solutions will be considered at the #Neuland congress. This will create a platform for thought leaders from business, science and politics to discuss and solve today's most pressing challenges.
Moderated workshops on both congress days will give you the opportunity to participate directly and help shape the future of metropolitan regions.
The Strategy Boards bring together thought leaders and experts with the aim of implementing visions in specific areas. The task of the Strategy Boards is to accelerate the development of prototypes and to update them annually in roadmaps. The Strategy Boards combine the impulses of the conference, the expertise of experts and the commitment of the participants to create a unique mix that calls for action.
Strategy Board: Cities and Regions
With their actions and regulations, the cities, municipalities and their higher-level associations contribute to the successful development of the economy according to the principles of market and competition. The cities and municipalities already provide space for infrastructure and supply, for example for the expansion of charging points. They provide the framework for future transport and mobility solutions and, through pragmatic decisions, ensure that test routes and corridors for autonomous transport and mobility solutions are already being developed today.
