The Atlas of Hope conference is part of a series of engagements contributing to the Climate Wunderkammer exhibition which was exhibited at the Palazzo Badoer, Venice. The event was chaired by Prof Chrisna du Plessis (University of Pretoria). The opening and welcome speech was undertaken by Prof Benno Albrecht, the Rector of UIAV. Two key note speakers, Irene Bonvissuto (Project leader of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change), and Andrea Gori (CEO of Illuminem), presented keynote addresses. Eleven presentations were presented and the day culminated in collaborative workshop which considered the means to enable locally appropriate, future-orientated and responsive education that promote climate change adaptation and climate action. The conference focused on sharing research and projects from different regions presented by the partnering universities of the Climate Wunderkammer. The focus was on sharing outcomes, research findings, and methodologies used to monitor climate change impacts in the different regions as well as climate action taken by the various entities.
