Hygiene instructions:
According to the current Corona Protection Ordinance NRW (valid version as of 27.10.22), there is currently no mask or test obligation. No proof of vaccination or convalescence is required. We would like to point out that the large, spacious halls at Zollverein as well as modern ventilation systems currently allow larger events to be held safely. However, we recommend that you test yourself before the event and follow the AHA rules. Disinfectants are available on site. We also have surgical masks available for you if required.

The German Advisory Council on Global Change describes the current "move of humanity" to cities as the most powerful "process of social change in the 21st century." Therefore, cities must be transformed into sustainable, healthy and equitable places. The vision of sustainable development must aim to integrate the spatial, health, and environmental dimensions so that healthy and equitable neighborhood development with green mobility, attractive public spaces, clean air, and safe streets can be prioritized at the local level.
Achieving these goals will require diverse inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration. With this conference, we would like to bring together the central disciplines for tackling the tasks ahead and develop a common understanding for the necessary alliances. The conference "Urban Health Landscapes of the Future" wants to deal with the manifold interactions of health, architecture and environment and to deepen the following questions:
What spatial and aesthetic demands will be placed on GesundheitsLandschaften in the future?
What structural and systemic changes are necessary to promote a healthy environment?
What can an integrated action approach of spatial design, health and environment look like?
How can an alliance in research and practice from architecture, urban public health and environment be launched?
Finally, we would like to agree on a concluding statement addressed to representatives from science, practice and politics.
